The Albany Trust and the Paedophile Information Exchange

February 27, 2014

The Albany Trust was funded by the Home Office’s Voluntary Service Unit. The Albany Trust used some of that money to fund the Paedophile Information Exchange (more). Below are a series of letters from The Times concerning the Albany Trust’s support for PIE.

Mr Bennett-England disclaims any involvement with the translation and distribution of the Dutch Speijer Report to PIE which seeks to legalize sexual activity with children as young as four. It is hard to understand his remarks. The Daily Telegraph (September 8, 1977) reported on a statement issued by the Trust in which Mr Bennett-England said it was the Sexual Law Reform Society which translated the 56 page report, but admitted that the Trust ” had supplied photocopies to PIE in the past”.

It is really too bad of Dr Ellison and others to so shamelessly misrepresent the nature of the Speijer Report, which is not about paedophilia or the promotion of “adult sexual gratification with minors”. Neither of Dr Ellison’s quotations comes from the text of the report, but occur in attached Parliamentary papers. The main body of the report consists of a discussion by an eminent group of Dutch psychiatrists of the various factors (only one of which was the law) affecting the psychological development mental health of homosexuals aged between 16 and 21-surely entirely legitimate matter of concern to a body with the Albany Trust’s terms of reference?
